Squeezing time

It’s not that I don’t like sleep. I mean I’m not some sort of moron. It’s just that the amount of minutes in the day don’t always line up with the things I want to try and do. For the better part of the last 17 days I have gotten up at 4 am. Mostly to write.  Before January I didn’t have the time. Which is bullshit. I just didn’t take the time.

The two harder things I have tried to do since the new year are to not drink at all and to write. Neither of which have been “hard” per se as much as just they have taken a small commitment.

On this, the busiest weekend of my year, I could have not posted today and I may not post tomorrow or Sunday. But while I’m running out the door I thought. “You have a few minutes. Use them.”

Want 7-9 mins more to meditate in the morning. Turn off the snooze on your alarm and get up when it goes off. Replace a happy hour with a workout or hanging with the family.

There’s time. Take it.
