Good Morning from the End of Days

IMG_6691.jpeg

This morning I’m not sure if i should go to work or go for a run. I mean I’m going to do both, I’m just not sure how much urgency I need to apply to either. This is because of course, the end of days is upon us.

I started the above on Thursday afternoon, thinking about Friday. Little did I know. This morning, life as we have come know it has stalled. I won’t say stopped, because while I know it will get worse first and drastic change may be ahead, I also know that on a day in October or next May or maybe further, we will have gone 2 weeks without mentioning this historic event.

We will instead be doing what we always do bitching about politics and traffic.  Neglecting our health and relationships in an attempt to be ever busy. Pressing the gas on the keeping up with the Joneses and returning to a life no more secure in many ways than today’s insanity.

As someone who’s self employed, I’m facing two businesses that will struggle to survive. So don’t get me wrong, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows over here and there will be more pain to come, but perhaps, just maybe, this is an opportunity to reflect. To ask how we want to return when things simmer down.

What I mean is that we are  about to be faced with a lot of  different time use. What can  I make of it?  Can we use this time  to get ahead? If my world is going to change? What do I want it to look like when we come out in the other side?

So yeah. The end of days is upon you.

Take the time to connect with yourself, your family, your friends.
