Some Guy in Poland...

One day I was fiddling with the back end of this blog site and stumbled upon the analytics page. There’s all sorts of things i can find out about you. Well. Someone with a good sense of analytics could. I can mostly figure out a bulk number of visitors and what country they come from.  I mean. Not specific people. All I know is that there’s someone in Poland that viewed this site 9 times. I mean surely it’s just one person and not 9, right? This is baffling . I mean I have no relatives or friends in Poland. Am I about to get my identity stolen? Are Polish IT guys stealing stuff off my computer? What is happening?!?

To be fair, the complete list of places people live who have read even one post on this blog is mind boggling. At last count it was 70. Finland, Saudi Arabia, Russia, New Zealand…mind, blown. For whatever reason, Poland gives me a chuckle.

My hope is that I publish this and “some guy in Poland,” (in my mind it’s always “some guy”) will see this post and comment to tell me the story of how he found this and what posts he read. I mean I should cater to this guy. How else am I ever going to be able to say “I’m huge in Poland.”?

I mean somehow my mind still thinks of Poland as a Soviet Bloc country from 1987. This makes his finding a blog even more incredible to me. I had the pleasure of going to the actual Soviet Union in 1989 and it wasn’t pretty. I mean it was pretty, but the level of sophistication for the common man wasn’t all hot pockets and United Colors of Benneton back then, ergo, in my addled brain, they probably have 1997 used Gateway computers and AOL dial up. This is rude, and short sighted, but it’s what I picture, so until I see proof of the contrary, it is how it is.

To further prove my moronic nature, I just stopped writing this and went and googled Poland. I just realized I had Poland where Romania is. So much for a college education, though to be fair, the last geography class I had was in 1987. Did they have geography in college? If so I missed out on that easy A. Why am I just realizing all of this now!?

Anyhow, if you are that guy from Poland OR you are from somewhere interesting (AKA Not Canada or USA), please comment below with your story. That would be rad.

See you in Krakow!!
